We are pleased to welcome Shockley Flick to the Greenfield Community Choir as our Director. Mr. Flick brings to our organization years of experience in leading men and women in singing some of the finest choral music of the world.
For 21 years he was the Minister of Music and Worship at East 91s Street Christian Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. While at East 91st Street Christian Church, he conducted the Sanctuary Choir and Covenant Symphony. He also served for a total of 19 years as an Associate Professor of Music at Pacific Christian College (now Hope International University) in Fullerton, California, and Great Lakes Christian College in Lansing, Michigan. He has published one book and several articles for the Christian Standard, Lookout, and the CC Music & Ministry Newsletter.
Mr. Flick is a graduate of Michigan State University with a Master of Music in Applied Voice, and holds a Bachelor of Sacred Music from Lincoln Christian University.
He has presented workshops and choral clinics at various churches, colleges, North American Christian Convention, and the National Church Music Conference.
Shockley has been married to his wife, Bev, for 43 years, and they are the parents of 3 sons, 2 daughters-in-law, and grandparents to 6 grandchildren. He is an avid cyclist and typically puts 6,000 miles on his bike each year. He also enjoys watching sappy Hallmark movies with Bev.
